Rescue Dog Marlee and Friends Try to Find Lost Diamond Earring in Delightful Children's Tale

A delightful new children's book spotlights Marlee, the rescue dog, and her animal friends, as they scour the beaches of Grand Cayman Island to find a lost diamond earring. Ideal for children ages two to nine, "Marlee and the Diamond Earring" by author Diana Ward is a beautifully illustrated picture book featuring the fantastical adventures of Ward's real-life canine companions.

The book was recently optimized for the iPad, so children can enjoy the narration, with different voiceovers for all the characters, which include Oreo, Princess, Dezzie and Bossy Bella.

In the story, the dogs meet a young woman who has lost her precious diamond earring on the beach. The dogs — along with their helpers, Sir Pinchy Crab, Mr. Turtle, Hoppy the One-Legged Seagull and Lou Lou the Laughing Gull — set out to save the day for the distraught woman. Children will be surprised to learn which animal eventually finds the earring.

Both the softcover and iPad versions of the book include photos of the "real" dog characters that live with the author in Georgetown, Cayman Islands. Wrote one reviewer on Amazon.com, "Part of the book's appeal is that the dogs really do exist."

Ward is currently working on versions of "Marlee and the Diamond Earring" in Chinese, German, Spanish and French. The iPad download costs $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and is available worldwide through the App Store in the Education category.
